A little about me.
Hello and welcome to Folded Paper Wedding Stationery.
First of all my name is Nia Banwell. I’m an occasional black tea drinker, admirer of pretty interiors, an animal lover (I’m a little rabbit obsessed). I also have a fondness for rainy British weather and therefore love wrapping up warm! I also feel lucky enough to live in such a wonderful part of the world especially where I can admire and gather inspiration from my surroundings.
I’m also graphic designer and illustrator based in Oswestry on the Welsh/Shropshire border. I’ve worked as a designer for several successful businesses and organisations. Through my experience I have gained a great understanding of how important and effective good design can be. I strive to make every piece of design the best possible ‘solution’ to the given brief or task. As well as designing wedding stationery I also do corporate freelance design work on the side through my website Folded Pixel.
A little about Folded Paper Wedding Stationery.
My Wedding Stationery story begins when I was approached by a work colleague to produce her, and her husband to be’s wedding invitations. Had I known sooner how much I’d love the process of making the invites I would have got stuck in much sooner! As a result of designing the stationery, which included coming up with design ideas for the vintage theme, tying twine around labels and producing illustrations of the church and map of the area, all lead and contributed to me falling in love with stationery design.
My inspiration comes from the beautiful countryside in which I grew up in. Surrounded by nature and greenery. I’ve grown up as an animal lover and I appreciate simplicity which consequently I believe shows in my design work. I work alongside my two bunny companions whom like to hop in now and again to the studio!
There are two ways of ordering wedding stationery at Folded Paper. Either from the house collection, which are pre-designed by myself (including all illustrations) or I offer custom orders, which I can design from scratch using ideas we discuss.
